Your partnership helps us break barriers for young people in Strathcona County

Every day, children and youth in Strathcona County walk through the doors of BGC Strathcona County looking for connection, support, encouragement, and a safe place to belong. BGC is a program provider. But for many families, we’re also a community hub and a vital resource. We are a place where young people can access mentorship, healthy relationships, nutritious meals, recreation, life skills, and opportunities to grow into confident, resilient individuals.

Through affordable, accessible programs, we work to break down barriers that prevent children and youth from reaching their full potential. We create safe spaces where young people feel seen and valued, while giving families access to resources and community connections that strengthen overall well-being.

As the needs of our community continue to grow, so does the need for strong local partnerships. We are proud to work alongside businesses, organizations, sponsors, and community supporters who believe in investing in Strathcona County’s future. Together, we can create meaningful opportunities for children and youth while building a stronger, more connected community for everyone.

Ways to partner with BGC

Partnerships and sponsorships help us expand programs, improve resources, reduce barriers to participation, and ensure more children and youth can access safe, supportive spaces close to home.

Here are some ways you can partner with us:

Monthly financial contributions: Ongoing support enables us to plan and allocate resources across our programs.

Event sponsorship: We host special events throughout the year to increase community engagement, raise awareness, celebrate our members and raise funds. Donations of time, money and supplies help us cover costs and ensure a successful event!

Specific program sponsorship: Sponsoring a BGC program that is near to your heart allows us to expand access to more children and youth, and be there for more families in our community.

In-kind gifts: We need a lot of supplies to keep our programs running. Healthy snacks, craft supplies, books, sports equipment and gift cards from grocery stores, Walmart and other stores are all helpful. View the BGC Wish List!

Collaborative community initiatives: Do you have ideas on how we can work together to enhance community impact, expand our reach or help more children and youth participate in life-changing programs? Or, would you like to partner with an initiative we’re already running? Let’s get together!

Your support makes a direct and lasting impact on local families and the overall well-being of our community.

Benefits of partnership

We value relationships built on shared community impact and collaboration. And we believe that a rising tide lifts all ships. That means our partnership can benefit both organizations!

Our corporate partners and sponsors are recognized on our website, social media channels, at events, and in community communications, where appropriate. Most importantly, our partners become part of a growing network of people and organizations committed to supporting local children and youth. You’ll gain brand awareness in your local community, and people will see that you’re part of something important.

No matter the size of your organization or contributions, your partnership can be a significant support to our work. Together, we can continue creating safe spaces and opportunities for young people in Strathcona County.

And as we know, opportunity changes everything.
