Holiday Hot Meal and WestJet Raffle Draw
With 2023 coming to a close, we wanted to highlight the exciting Holiday Hot Meal that took place at the CanTeen Youth Hub this December, the incredible people who supported and came, and the exciting things that took place!! We hope to carry this joyous feeling of momentum into the 2024 year as well!!
December 15th held the 3rd annual BGC Holiday Hot Meal, where the Sherwood Park Elks took the reins to help BGC provide an incredible turkey and ham dinner to CanTeen Youth, BGC children and families, BGC staff from all locations, and members of our community. We were so thrilled to see over 100 people walk through the doors to receive a hot meal, and the opportunity to take home leftovers as well!!
The Elks were cooking all day, and we had volunteers from our Board of Directors, the community, and BGC staff serving well into the evening! We even were lucky to have the Elks put on some festive tunes with a talented artist from their team!
Finally, we were so excited to draw for our annual WestJet raffle!! Thanks to all who supported the raffle to win a trip for two anywhere WestJet flies. We will be running this fundraiser again, so be sure to get your tickets next time! A huge congratulations to Kass Doherty for taking home the prize this year!!
