2SLGBTQIA+ Parent and Caregiver Information Session
Come learn what it means to be an ally of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and how you can support your children. These sessions are for parents, guardians, caregivers or anyone who wants to be an ally and would like to learn more.
The information sessions will be held at the Family Resource Network Building at 160 Festival Way, Sherwood Park. You do not need to attend the first session to attend the second.
Session 1 – April 11 from 1-4 pm
Learn more about terminology, inclusivity, pronouns and gender orientation and identity vs. assigned sex.
Session 2 – April 18 from 1-4 pm
Learn more about stereotypes, myths and how you can support youth in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
