You can Be the Difference in the life of a young person. Consider Volunteering with Us! One or two hours a week as a volunteer will not only make a difference in a child's life, it will make a positive impact on yours as well.
Each year the Boys and Girls Club of Strathcona County recruits volunteers to assist in many areas of our club. We offer a wide variety of programs for children and youth ages 5 to 18 years old.
Make the Commitment that suits you best.
Our goal is to match your availablity, skills and interest with our programs. These rewarding volunteer opportunities fall into 3 basic categories:
- One-Time Commitment
-
Special Activity Commitment
-
On-going Commitment
We look for individuals who have a great interest in working with the public but especially with children and youth. How can you become involved?
- Experience is not necessary, we will train
- References, RCMP Criminal records check, child welfare investigation search are required
- Volunteers need to be at least 16 years of age or older
For further information about specific opportunities or to request a brochure and application by mail, contact Tyler Roed, Program Coordinator @ 416-1500.
For those who want to volunteer at a younger age, our Club has leadership experiences for a younger age group that would include volunteering.
